๐ Litecoin marks 15 years of continuous operation, and the anniversary coincides with a new sign of institutional interest.
Zach Pandl, Grayscaleโs head of research, called LTC an โOG altcoin,โ as the firm maintains its intention to convert the Grayscale Litecoin Trust into a spot ETF, potentially listed on NYSE Arca.
The proposal is still subject to the regulatory process and does not mean the ETF has been approved.
In fact, NYSE Arcaโs previous application was withdrawn in September 2025, while Grayscale has resumed moving forward with documentation related to converting the trust.
Meanwhile, Litecoin maintains considerable activity: around 156,000 daily transactions and average fees of close to US$0.003, according to the data cited in the article.
Its network also continues to use Proof-of-Work and offers MWEB privacy features.
