Over the past month or so, several groups have been fighting it out over Mars coin.
The pool opened at the end of July. And yes, it’s not BNB and not U—it’s a stock token of SpaceX.
Buy and sell both charge a 3% tax. The tokens are used to distribute SpaceX stock tokens to holders.
The name borrowed CZ’s old tweet about "issuing coins on Mars." Once he changed his Twitter profile position to Mars, the hype really took off.
On August 21 it only hit a low of 0.023.
On September 1, Binance added it to its futures. In the next four days it went from 0.066 to 0.26, with market cap surging to 240 million.
Then it kept getting cut in half. On the 16th it bottomed at 0.086.
Futures are a double-edged sword. Spot can only buy; futures can short. Once the shorts have the tools, the moment someone gets pushed up, they start smashing it down.
The yellow guy publicly holds over 20 million tokens, worth over $2 million. He’s using it to benchmark against SAFEMOON from 2021. The louder he shouts, the steadier his stash.
Worst of all are the ones who chased in above 0.2—they’re still stuck halfway up the hill.
Now it’s at 0.115, and the market cap is a little over 110 million. It’s up 14% today.
There’s another date worth noting. The exchange will distribute token-holder dividends monthly, with the first batch arriving in early October.
People who are waiting for the dividends won’t be in a hurry to sell.
