The market has moved to here—let me review how UNI, TRUMP, ARB, Link, and others were discovered ahead of the market.
UNI, ARB, LDO, HYPE, Link, Trump...
Over the past two months, from start to finish, the trading framework had black-swan fixes + the China–U.S. meeting + the mid-term election + the market’s health being too low.
When it comes to coin selection, I only choose top-tier assets. As for “Trump,” it’s because my trading framework includes the mid-term election, and the asset closest to Trump is Trump. When BTC went up but Trump didn’t, I went long Trump at $1.4. Remember, after I posted, it went to $1.8. I took the opportunity to swap into spot, and by then I was up 100%+. On that same day, the spot also doubled—gives me a not-so-good feeling. The market was too much FOMO, so I posted and then pulled profits to move out of ETH.
At the time, many people were also shouting about MeMe being awesome, and Trump took the MeMe sector and ran it wild. In my heart, I was crystal clear: MeMe is an emotion coin—it's still too early for the move.
Inside, I felt absolutely no ripple. If profits were meant to leave, they left. Right after I exited, the market stabbed again—luck was a bit too good.
My other top-tier assets in hand hadn’t moved either. Especially ARB and UNI—they went through another round of pullbacks. But I wasn’t in a hurry. Even told the people who wanted to run from UNI at $4 that they must hold; if they can’t hold, then go home and get a shovel.
Actually, at that time I had two coins in my mind, and I also said this in the group: I believed a second leg would come—one would be UNI, and the other would be LDO. And I was absolutely convinced, which is why I told people to hold onto the shovel.
As for ARB, it was the horizontal comparison pick from tokens in the same period. At the time, I considered Sui and ONDO, but their prices were higher than ARB, and their ecosystems were also bad. In terms of both ecosystem and the DeFi direction, ARB was my highest-odds choice in July. This capital could only be placed into a single coin of the same type of asset.
When I bought in July, I was still thinking: why did I buy more and it kept going down? And I even posted about it.
Throughout that whole market cycle, I didn’t choose to leave my own trading framework just because other tokens were pumping.
In my mind, other coins default to “nonexistent”—they basically wouldn’t affect me.
If BTC had rallied in the first three days, even a little bit, and it influenced me to switch positions once, then I would have completely sold too early.
