Can a blockchain still truly be decentralized when a validator can freely hit a rollback button to wipe clean nearly 11,000 blocks of data?

A mining incident targeting Tectonic on the Cronos network, worth over $120 million, has just exposed a critical weakness. The attacker exploited thin liquidity to inflate the value of collateral assets, then drained the funds—forcing the network to rewind 2 hours of chain history. Even though most of the funds flow was blocked, there is still about $9.19 million that has not yet been recovered, along with a steep price: all valid user transactions during those 2 hours were erased as well.

From the perspective of an experienced trader, this centralized intervention dealt a heavy blow to confidence in $CRO. Once immutability is broken, panic selling is inevitable, putting the $CRO price chart under intense sell-pressure.

Brothers and sisters, do not rush to catch a falling knife when the storm hasn’t fully passed. Preserving your capital in the face of system shocks is always more important than trying to grab a few percent of short-term recovery. Be patient and observe.
