Right then, the Order Chat shows a message: “I’ll test 20k first—let’s see if you can receive it.” Oh, instant clarity 🤑
I’m selling 5,000 USDT on Binance P2P. The buyer says they want to test 20k first, then transfer the bigger amount. I open my bank app and see the money really comes in, so I report it as received—but the Order stays unchanged because the payment isn’t enough to Release.
A little while later, the large transfer arrives. While I’m checking, I suddenly remember: wait, there was also that 20k from earlier.
I pull up the transaction history and add both payments together—the total comes to exactly the amount in the Order. The sender name also matches the details on the Order. Only after I’ve confirmed I received the full amount do I Release the 5,000 USDT.
I keep the buyer’s “test 20k” message in the Order Chat too. If the two payments together still don’t add up to the Order total, or if anything mismatches the information, I won’t Release. I just keep the Order and the proof to Support Binance P2P/Appeal if needed.
Once I’m done handling it, that’s when I go to make coffee.
