🧠 What did Vitalik really mean when he spoke about the “victory of another blockchain”
A distorted quote attributed to Vitalik Buterin is spreading on social media: “If TRON defeats Ethereum — humanity is doomed.” I already analyzed how this happened in минулому пості.
Now I want to draw the readers' attention to the fact that when Vitalik Buterin talks about competition, he almost never talks about “victory” in the usual sense.
His logic is different.
🔹 He is not afraid if Ethereum loses its leadership
🔹 What matters to him is which system will become the standard
He constantly emphasizes three things:
1) decentralization;
2) transparent rules;
3) minimal trust in individual actors.
📌 So, it's not about the names of blockchains.
It's about the architecture of future financial infrastructure.
Victory goes not to the one who is faster or cheaper.
But to the one whose model we consider acceptable “by default”.
