Noem informed South Dakota House Speaker Hugh Bartels on March 9 that she had vetoed House Bill 1193, which sought to change the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) of the state to specifically exclude cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, with the potential exception of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
