Samsung announced that its digital wallet will offer native support for stablecoins.
The announcement was made during Galaxy Unpacked in London, and a mockup shown on stage displayed crypto
$USDC integrated directly into Samsung Wallet.
In practice, the user will be able to store and move dollarized assets in the same app used for:
ยปCards
ยปDocuments
ยปTickets
ยปDigital keys
ยปAnd payments.
This could reduce one of the biggest barriers to crypto adoption:
The need to download another wallet and learn a new interface.
โ ๏ธ But there are still important points without answers.
Samsung has not confirmed:
Official partnership with Circleโธ(
$USDC )โฆ
Launch date
Which blockchain will be used
Or whether the solution will be custodial or non-custodial.
๐๏ธ The company has already been preparing this path.
Since 2019, Galaxy devices have included storage protected by Samsung Knox. In 2025, an integration with Coinbase brought crypto purchases into the Wallet of millions of users in the United States.
The move also coincides with the launch of the Galaxy Card, issued by Barclays and run by Visa.
A traditional card and stablecoin within the same app puts Samsung in direct competition for the future of digital payments.
๐ง The question now is:
In the next big leap of stablecoins, will they come from exchanges or from the phones that billions of people already carry in their pockets?
๐ Would you use
$USDC directly via Samsung Wallet?
