🔥T +30.6% IN A SESSION WITH ONLY 22% GREEN PAIRS — WHERE I READ IT WRONG
$T $BMT $ERA I always thought that when a token surged the most, that was the clear signal to hop on board, but the data proved me wrong. Seeing T jump 30.6% at a price of 0.0061, with 9 million in volume, 26 gainers and trading across 118 pairs, my instinct was to celebrate the rally and consider a position. The immediate reaction—“this is the session’s star, I’m in”—ignored the broader context.
The market, however, was only 22% green overall, and the breadth indicator also sat at 22%, meaning less than a quarter of the pairs were advancing. In a session where the majority of assets were stagnant or falling, a single 30.6% spike can look spectacular but may simply be an outlier. The modest total volume of 3.5 billion reinforces that the rally wasn’t backed by widespread buying power.
What I learned from that mistake is simple: I now start every post‑session scan by checking the breadth and total volume before applauding the top mover. If the green‑pair ratio is low, I treat the biggest gainer with caution and look for confirmation from other metrics rather than jumping straight in.
The other two notable movers were BMT, down 22.8%, and ERA, down 21.2%.
Which camp are you in – the chase‑the‑gainer crowd or the breadth‑watchers? 📈
