remember Sushiswap and its 48,249% APY back in 2020? posted a video about it back then and rewatching it now hits different.
that number was never yield. it was emissions math running on borrowed time, math that couldn't survive contact with an actual market once the incentives dried up and sellers showed up.
still miss those early defi days honestly, ngl. but "miss those days" usually just means "miss not knowing yet what dilution actually looks like once the farm rewards taper off and holders get left holding the bag."
joined in 2021 myself. still learning what apy really costs you once you strip the emissions and look at what's left underneath. every cycle drops a new version of the same trade, the token/apy just changes name.
which year did you start? curious how many of you caught the OG farm-token era before the market repriced all of it.
