Jito adds three external operators to BAM, with a phased launch
On November 2, 2026, Jito announced Bitwise, Triton One, and SOL Strategies as the first external cohort of BAM operators on Solana. With hardware ready and setup underway, they still needed to activate them on the testnet.
BAM organizes the order of transactions before validators execute them. Jito already operated nodes on mainnet; the new development is the addition of third parties.
The plan calls for a mainnet phase, limited to each operator’s own validators, before the end of 2026. Opening it to other validators is targeted for early in the first quarter of 2027. These are targets, contingent on verification tools that are still in development.
JTO is Jito’s governance token; SOL is the Solana network’s asset.
For reference, on November 3 at 00:41 UTC, Binance spot showed JTO at 0.3539 USDT (-4.532% over 24 hours) and SOL at 92.52 USDT (-1.606%).
Market perspective: expanding the number of operators could reduce dependence on a single entity. The outcome will depend on testing and the actual rollout. The announcement does not demonstrate greater demand for JTO or predict its price; technical risks and delays remain.
