We'll be releasing two models:
• Eos (8B parameters) using 2-bit precision
• Titan (70B parameters) using 1-bit precision

We're incredibly proud of our team's hard work getting 1-bit and 2-bit precision running—the standard for LLMs is 4-bit, making us the first to launch a 1-bit LLM that's publicly accessible. This is a major milestone!

Beta Version: What to Keep in Mind

But keep in mind, this is a beta version. There are still plenty of challenges ahead, like chat memory issues, UI improvements, and better conversation blending. This release is meant to show that we can fine-tune and deploy our own LLM, run it on our servers, and use our custom algorithms. This is crucial for leading the way in decentralized AI. Today, 99% of LLMs are run via APIs, but we have our own—a big step forward that lets our community shape Athena 2's future.

Transparency at Its Core

What's also exciting is that Athena 2 Beta will be the most transparent LLM ever. We've uploaded all model files and datasets to IPFS and stored the hash on Argochain. This gives irrefutable proof of the model's integrity—we can't change the files without breaking the hash, and the hash itself is immutable on Argochain.

Proven Capabilities with This Launch

With this launch, this is what we will have proven up to date:
1. We can deploy our own L1 blockchain.
2. We can integrate EVM compatibility for building AI systems.
3. We can fine-tune and run our own LLM on custom infrastructure.
4. We have proof of integrity for our LLM.

What's Next?

In Q1 2025, we'll roll out our Decentralized Training System—unlike anything seen before—putting training in the hands of the community. By the first half of 2025, we'll be working on decentralized inference to complete the puzzle.
