A lending market can look healthy while every participant is responding to the wrong incentive.

That’s the risk I’m watching in Babylon’s Trustless Bitcoin Vaults.

TBV can keep native BTC protected on Bitcoin, while the connected lending application manages collateral limits, borrowing conditions, interest rates, and liquidation behavior.

The architcture is modular.

The incentives are not automatically aligned.

Borrowers want more flexibility.

Liquidity providers want yield.

Liquidators want profitable execution.

Applications want growth.

But none of those goals guarantees that the BTC-backed position remains stable during volatility.

For me, the real test is whether the application built above TBV rewards early risk control—or only reacts once liquidation becomes profitable.

That distinction matters because strong Bitcoin-side vault rules cannot compensate for lending parameters that encourage excessive leverage or delayed intrvention.

I see the opportunity in BabylonLabs_io clearly: native BTC can support financial activity without surrendering its original custody boundary.

But the system becomes durable only when control and incentives protect the same outcome.
