Die Federal Reserve hat gerade zwei zentrale Vorschläge im Rahmen des GENIUS Act für von der Aufsichtsbehörde beaufsichtigte Zahlung-Stablecoin-Emittenten veröffentlicht.
Ein Vorschlag verlangt eine vollständige 1:1-Unterlegung mit hochwertigen Reserven wie kurzfristigen Treasuries sowie standardisierte Regeln für Kapital und Risikomanagement. Der andere schafft einen klareren Antragsprozess für Banken, die Stablecoins ausgeben möchten.
Die öffentliche Stellungnahme ist für 60 Tage geöffnet.
Das ist ein wichtiger Schritt, um Dollar-Stablecoins sicherer und zuverlässiger für alltägliche Zahlungen zu machen. Klare Reserveregeln und Kapitalstandards dürften echtes Vertrauen schaffen, doch die endgültigen Details zu Rücknahmen und Risiko werden entscheiden, wie nützlich diese Coins werden. Weiter genau beobachten, während sich der Rahmen herauskristallisiert.
