When I first became interested in crypto, I thought making money was the hardest part.
I was wrong.
The hardest part was learning when NOT to make a trade. 😅
Here are 5 mistakes I think every beginner should understand before putting real money into crypto.
1. Buying because of FOMO 🚀
A coin starts pumping and suddenly everyone is talking about it.
You feel like you're late.
So you buy.
And then... the green candle disappears. 😂
Lesson: Don't buy just because everyone else is buying.
2. Thinking every green candle means a bull run 📈
One or two green candles can make us very confident.
But the market doesn't care about our excitement.
A temporary pump doesn't automatically mean the market has entered a bull run.
Lesson: Look at the bigger picture instead of reacting to one candle.
3. Ignoring risk management
This is one of the biggest mistakes beginners can make.
Putting too much of your money into one trade can turn a small market move into a big loss.
Lesson: Protecting your capital is just as important as making profits.
4. Following influencers blindly
Someone says:
"This coin is going to the moon!" 🚀
And suddenly you're researching how to buy it.
But nobody knows the future of the market with certainty.
Lesson: Do your own research before investing or trading.
5. Trading with emotions
Fear makes us sell.
Greed makes us buy.
FOMO makes us chase.
And revenge trading makes us try to recover losses immediately.
Crypto taught me that sometimes the best trade is simply no trade.
