What caught my attention wasn’t the vault mechanics, though. It was the market snapshot.
As of the latest reading, $BABY was trading around $0.0116, down 6.5% over the past week, with a market cap of roughly $46.6M and $8.4M in 24-hour trading volume. At the same time, Babylon’s Trustless Vaults were securing approximately 56,800 BTC—representing billions of dollars in Bitcoin value.
That contrast is hard to ignore.
The infrastructure appears to be functioning as intended: BTC stays native, collateral remains trust-minimized, and integrated lending protocols gain access to real Bitcoin-backed liquidity. Yet the governance token is still valued at only a fraction of the economic activity surrounding the protocol.
