Silver liquidation heatmap: the crowd is 88% long, and the short fuel sits closer
Silver on Binance $XAG (XAGUSDT) trades like gold: long, short, leverage, 24/7. But it moves harder. A 2 to 3% day is normal for silver. At 50x, a position gets liquidated at roughly 2% against you. On gold that is a big move. On silver it is an ordinary day. So the same leverage gets wiped out more often here, and the liquidation heatmap matters more. What the map showed on October 10 Price 60.92. Above the price (short liquidations): a band near 61.4 (+0.8%)$4.0M near 62.2 (+2%)$4.3M near 62.8 (+3%) Below the price (long liquidations):almost empty down to 58.85$1.4M near 58.85 (-3.4%)$5.0M near 58.25 (-4.4%) The biggest single band is below, but it is far away. Above, the bands are smaller but closer and stacked: three levels within +3%. If price moves up, a short cascade has room to run, each band pushing into the next. Below, the first 3% are almost empty, then $6.4M sits on two levels at once. That is the setup, not a direction call. Whales vs the crowd Crowd: 88% long. Very one-sided.Whales: 51% long. A week ago it was 20%. They added a lot of longs, but are still more cautious than the crowd.By money it is even: 102 long whales hold $36.7M, 90 short whales hold $36.0M.Whale average long entry 64.61: longs are down $2.2M, they need +6.1% to break even.Whale average short entry 62.70: shorts are up $1.1M, they go into loss on a 2.9% rise. The whale average short entry (62.70) almost matches the top short liquidation band ($4.3M near 62.8). If price gets there, leveraged shorts get liquidated at the same time as large shorts are back at zero. A level worth marking in advance. The order book Real sell orders sit at 61.8 to 62.1, right in front of the $4.0M short band. Buy orders sit near 60.8, with another level near 59.9. Going up, price has to eat through those sells before liquidations start. If the sells get pulled as price comes close, the path to the short band opens. One reading mistake to avoid: on the morning of October 10 both whale entry lines jumped straight up. That is not whales trading. It is the whale group being updated, so the average gets recalculated. A vertical jump in the line is a change in the group, not a trade. All of this is free on PumpGlass: liquidation heatmap, order book and whale entries for silver, gold, oil and every Binance USDT-M pair. The full silver guide is in the PumpGlass Learn section. The map shows where leverage and orders sit, not where price will go. Silver moves fast, so moderate leverage and a stop matter even more than on gold. #XAGUSDT #Silver #BİNANCEFUTURES #Liquidations #Whales
Gold on Binance with 100x leverage: what to know before your first trade
You can trade gold on Binance like any crypto pair: $XAU , long or short, up to 100x, 24/7. It looks simple. A few details make it very different from regular gold. 100x is not for everyone Max leverage 100x applies only to positions up to $50,000. Above that it drops: 75x up to $400,000, 50x up to $1M, and lower from there. At 100x, a move of less than 1% against you is enough to get liquidated. Plus a 1.5% liquidation fee. Funding every 4 hours Longs and shorts pay each other every 4 hours, capped at ±0.5% per payment. On gold it usually sits near zero (0% to about 0.017% over the week of October 3 to 10). But it is charged 6 times a day on the full position, not on your margin. At high leverage that adds up. Weekends are the real trap The main gold market closes from Friday evening to Sunday evening UTC. XAUUSDT keeps trading. On weekends price is moved mostly by futures traders, with thinner volume. On Monday the regular market opens, and if news came out, gold can open noticeably higher or lower. XAUUSDT adjusts to that. High leverage positions held over the weekend carry that Monday risk, and pay funding 12 times along the way. What the data showed on October 10 Price 4,196. The crowd: 77% long. Whales: only 40% long. By count whales lean long (130 vs 86), by money they lean short ($210M in shorts vs $139M in longs). Whale average long entry 4,347: their longs are down about $5M, gold needs +3.6% for break-even. Whale average short entry 4,226: their shorts are up $1.5M, but just +0.7% would push them into loss. That 4,226 level almost matches the nearest band of short liquidations on the heatmap (near 4,228). If price reaches that zone, leveraged short liquidations fire at the same time as large shorts get back to break-even. Not a forecast, just a level worth marking. Open interest grew from about 90K to 200K ounces between mid-September and October 7, and was 144.9K (about $608M) on October 10. More open interest means more fuel for liquidations. This breakdown is based on free PumpGlass whale and crowd positions, liquidation heatmap and order book for gold, silver, oil and every Binance USDT-M pair. The full guide is in the PumpGlass Learn section. Leverage works both ways. Data shows the balance of forces, not where price will go. Always use a stop. #XAUUSDT #Gold #BİNANCEFUTURES #Leverage #Whales
$ZEC update: a $6.8M sell wall has been sitting at ~$1,253 for over 24 hours, right on the short whales’ average entry.
Price tested it once yesterday, reached ~$1,246 and got rejected.
Positioning now: - Short whales still outnumber longs, 212 vs 166 - Short size trimmed from $146.6M to $135.7M - Whales 57% long, crowd 45%
Two levels sit on top of each other here: the wall and the short whales’ entry. If the wall gets pulled or absorbed, short whales go into loss right away. Until then, $1,253 is the ceiling.
$MAGIC was flagged by the PumpGlass scanner on Oct 9 at $0.0772, before the move started. Peak came 17 hours later at $0.164, +112% from the alert. Price now holds near $0.153. This is the move after detection, not a trade result. Entry, exit and size are always the trader’s call.
$MAGIC +130% into today’s BingX spot listing, and the crowd flipped short on the way up: 64% long a week ago, 38% now.
Positioning now: - Whales 82% long, up from 57% a week ago - 141 long whales hold $8.11M, avg entry $0.101, 78% in profit - 66 short whales hold $1.75M, avg entry $0.0974, 8% in profit, -$636K - Funding went negative right at the listing hour
Short whales need a 36% drop just to break even, longs stay green down to $0.101. The pressure sits with the shorts, while the crowd keeps adding to that side.
How to read the gold liquidation heatmap (XAUUSDT)
Gold futures on Binance $XAU trade like any crypto pair: long, short, leverage. And where there is leverage, there are liquidations. A liquidation heatmap shows where they sit. But the bands on the map only make sense once you know why they matter. A liquidation is a forced market order When a short gets liquidated, the exchange closes it with a market buy. When a long gets liquidated, the exchange sells at market. The trader does not choose the price. Now look at it from a big player's side. A fund wants to sell a large gold position. If it sells right now, it pushes the price down itself. It needs buyers, many at once. A bright band of short liquidations above the price is exactly that: a guaranteed wave of market buys. Sell into it and the size gets filled at a good price. The mirror works too: a band of long liquidations below the price is a wave of market sells that a big buyer can absorb. That is why these bands are called liquidity. It does not mean price will go there. It means big players have a reason to push it there. Cascades Liquidations come in chains. Price hits a band, longs get liquidated, the market sells push price to the next band, more longs get liquidated. If bright bands sit close together with no gaps, a cascade has room to run. That is how sharp candles happen without any news. Real example, October 9 Gold at 4,196. Above: a small $9.8M band at +0.8%, then the main $28.1M band near 4,280 (+2%). Below: $12.2M near 4,060 (-3%) and the main $26.2M band near 3,990 (-5%). Leverage on both sides is almost equal, but the shorts sit two and a half times closer to the price. The small band at +0.8% could be the first link of a chain toward +2%. This is not a forecast. It shows which side would feel pressure first if a move starts. Check your stop If your stop sits inside a bright band, you are in the crowd that gets taken out first. Price wicks into the band, the cascade fires, and half an hour later price is back without you. Many traders place the stop beyond the band, not inside it. Two more layers worth opening Order book: real limit orders. A clear, long line means a large order has been sitting there for hours. If it disappears as price comes close, it was there for show. Whale average entries: on October 9 whales in longs were in at 4,357 on average, about 4% under water. Whales in shorts at 4,222, in profit. $$When a liquidation band, a buy wall and the whale entry line meet at one price, that is the zone to watch. If price arrives and the wall holds, the zone is defended. If the wall vanishes before contact, the cascade has an open road. This guide is based on the free PumpGlass liquidation heatmap: liquidations, order book and whale entries on one chart, for gold, silver, oil and every Binance USDT-M pair. $US hit a $338K sell wall at $0.035 and has been bouncing off it for 4 hours. The last wall in its way disappeared right before price broke through it. If this one gets pulled too, the move continues. If it stays, $0.030 is where buyers are waiting.
$KAIA : a whale opened $349K long on the first candle of the move, 95 minutes before the Upbit spot listing. From his entry to the peak price went +52%.
$US is up 111% since the PumpGlass scanner flagged it on Oct 6: from $0.0128 to $0.0271 in under 3 days. After a retest of the alert level on Oct 7-8, the main leg followed. Price is now 106% above the alert.
$ZEC : short whales now outnumber longs, 224 vs 158, and short size nearly tripled in two days to $146.6M. Their avg entry is $1,248, 1.8% above price. Above that, about $18.8M in liquidations sits at $1,440-1,456.
$JCT whales opened $501K in longs at the bottom. Price ran 89% from the first entry, then they closed $159K in longs on the second spike. Long size is still 7.5x the short side, with the average whale long at $0.002136.
$BTC A whale opened a $116M short at $83.8K. BTC slid 3.4% into the next day. At $80.9K the side flipped: a $70M long went in near the bottom. Price is back at $81.8K, +1.2% from that entry. Both entries landed close to the turning points, a top for the short and the low for the long.
Price is now pressing into a $172K ask wall at $242, while $886K of long liquidations sit at $229-232. The large short clusters are 14% higher, at $273-275.
$BTW $450K of short liquidations sit 2-4% above price, behind a $155K sell wall at $1.40. Price touched $1.39 this morning and backed off. Below, the nearest long cluster is only $93K, 9% down.
$MET whales went from 94% long to 76% in a week, and after today's 64% run only 4% of short whales are in profit.
Positioning now: - 112 long whales, $3.82M, avg entry 0.387, 89% in profit - 83 short whales, $1.22M, avg entry 0.4318, down $188K combined - Crowd barely moved: 44% long vs 45% a week ago
Shorts need a 15.4% drop just to break even, longs stay green down to 24%. The pressure is on the short side while price holds above their entry.
