NPEX and the Push to Bring 300M+ EUR of Assets Onchain
The NPEX angle is one of the more interesting parts of Dusk’s institutional story, but I think the €300M+ figure needs to be viewed carefully. Moving that amount of assets onchain is very different from simply announcing a tokenization plan.
NPEX is an AFM-regulated venue licensed as an MTF, broker and ECSP, which gives the initiative a stronger connection to existing financial infrastructure. The potential benefit is not just putting assets on a blockchain, but connecting regulated products with faster settlement, digital ownership and potentially more efficient market infrastructure.
Still, the real test comes after the technology is deployed. Will investors actually use these onchain assets? Will liquidity be deep enough? Can regulatory requirements, custody, reporting and investor protection work smoothly at scale?
For me, the €300M+ target is interesting because it gives Dusk a measurable benchmark. But the amount itself is not proof of success. What matters is whether these assets create a genuinely better market experience once they move onchain.
