$MOTION V2 is the upcoming redesign of the TipFi protocol on Robinhood Chain, and it's set to change how the system rewards activity on X.
The team has described V2 as a “completely redesigned system”, with a clear focus on high-value accounts, genuine creators, and better-quality content.
Why V2?
The current $MOTION beta showed that the idea works. Social activities can be tracked, scored, and turned into $MOTION tips.
But because it was an open reward system, it came with an obvious problem: farming.
When people know activity can earn rewards, some will focus on generating as much activity as possible instead of creating valuable content.
TipMotion has already seen this happen, with large amounts of spam and automated tip requests hitting the beta. This led to V2, which is being built to address that.
▪️A More Curated TipFi System
One of the biggest changes is the move away from the current open P2P model.
The team has described V2 as non-open P2P, with invite-based growth being part of the direction discussed publicly.
The idea is simple.
Instead of opening the system to everyone and trying to deal with farming afterward, V2 can be more selective about who participates.
The aim of this is to create a cleaner environment for genuine creators.

The team has also said V2 will target “the highest value accounts.”
This could be the most important change.
The goal is to move away from rewarding activity for activity's sake and put more weight on accounts that consistently create meaningful content.
In other words, V2 is trying to answer a better question: Who is actually adding value to the conversation? That could make $MOTION more useful for real creators while making the system less attractive to farmers and bots.

V2 is still in development, so several details remain private. What has been made clear is that the new system will focus on:
