I was checking the Season 2 dashboard today just out of routine when one line caught my eye. TGE is set for July 21 2026 only about a week from now. They also raised the community share for Season 2 to 18 percent of the full one billion token supply. Small tweak but it says a lot.

On the surface it looks like a solid push for TradFi meets blockchain with real infrastructure. TradFi pairs now give 3x point multipliers while alts sit at 2x. Sounds perfect for trading tokenized stocks on chain. But watching closer a lot of traders are playing it smart. They keep open interest on those TradFi pairs hedge the risk somewhere else and farm the funding plus the extra points. The volume popping up isnt everyday folks finding stock perps. Its mostly points hunters locking in before the allocation window shuts.

I stepped away for coffee and kept thinking about that open interest sitting over 484 million dollars and still growing. How much of it will fade once Season 2 ends and the multipliers disappear. Not calling the setup bad. Just noticing who jumps in first when incentives hit 3x versus the users they hope show up later for plain markets. Question is which group sticks around after TGE.

the grvt ioliquidity setup finally made sense to me today and its not exactly what the main page suggests i was checking the glp vault during a task its that community market making approach linked to grvt rewards numbers look strong right now cap got filled in just 23 days with 312 percent apr and 1148 sharpe ratio at first it seems fully open to regular folks

but its not really your deposit amount depends on lifetime trading volume tier everyday traders hear the big institutional yield talk yet it only kicks in properly after you build volume new wallet or small account like mine gets capped low basically tiny token level exposure accounts with lots of past activity jump into higher tiers with more space and grab the same 31 plus percent yield straight away

thats the hidden side its not open liquidity for anyone who shows up instead it builds toward people already trading heavy makes sense for risk control the vault avoids quick in and out money chasing yields but it feels backwards deep market access goes to those who already have it not the other way around

snacks finished and im still thinking is this just smart protection or does it quietly keep the same old access levels that defi wanted to remove keep it real what do you guys see

What got me thinking wasnt the campaign alone. Its the direction its pushing folks toward. GRVT handles trade settlement with zero knowledge proofs on Ethereum. Dennoch zeigt DefiLlama das Perp-Volumen der letzten sieben Tage auf der Kette, das im Wochenvergleich um fast neun Prozent gesunken ist – rund acht Punkt neun Milliarden US-Dollar. Das Open Interest bleibt in Ordnung, ohne komplett einzubrechen, aber die Handelszahlen passen nicht zu den optimistischen Ankündigungen.

Viel der Aktivität in den vergangenen Monaten war kein echter Überzeugungshandel. Sie entstand aus dem Farming von Points für den Snapshot, der am 30. Juni endete. Staffel zwei ist abgeschlossen, das TGE-Datum wurde gesetzt, und jetzt tritt ein Teil dieses Flows still und leise zurück – bevor das eigentliche Unlock ansteht. Das ergibt in der Praxis Sinn, passt aber nicht zu dem wiederholt kommunizierten Gespräch über ein wachsendes Exchange-Volumen.

Ich bin nicht zu hundert Prozent sicher, wie viel davon auf ein Rotieren der Farmer zurückzuführen ist und wie viel auf eine schlichte sommerliche Flaute über perp DEXs. Es könnte von beidem etwas sein – oder auch keines von beidem. Ich habe diese Woche noch nicht Hyperliquid oder Lighter-Volumina geprüft, um zu sehen, ob es den ganzen Sektor betrifft.
