Was mir an Covenants von @Nillion am besten gefällt und warum Dusk so wichtig ist 🔐

Öffentliche Blockchains sind von Grund auf transparent. Das ist ideal zur Überprüfung, bedeutet aber auch, dass alle sehen können, was du vorhast, bevor du es umsetzt: deine Limit-Orders, Stop-Losses und Gebote. Nillion geht dieses Problem mit seinem Kernprodukt Covenants an.
🔹 Was ist ein Covenant?
Ein Covenant ist eine an eine Bedingung geknüpfte Anweisung, etwa an einen Preis oder einen Zeitpunkt. Er wird verschlüsselt auf Ethereum veröffentlicht und bleibt unlesbar, bis die Bedingung erfüllt ist. Sobald sie eintritt, wird der Covenant aufgelöst, ohne dass eine einzelne vertrauenswürdige Partei die Kontrolle hat.
🔹 Drei Dinge, die mir an Covenants am besten gefallen
1️⃣ Verborgene Absicht: Dein Plan bleibt bis zur Ausführung geheim, sodass andere dir nicht zuvorkommen oder gezielt danach suchen können.
2️⃣ Minimiertes Vertrauen: Die Auflösung übernimmt ein erlaubnisfreies Knotennetzwerk – kein Unternehmen und kein Mittelsmann, dem du vertrauen musst.
3️⃣ Echte Verbindlichkeit: Ein einmal veröffentlichter Covenant kann nicht widerrufen werden. Er funktioniert wie ein echtes On-Chain-Versprechen, was bei Auktionen, Geschäften und Vereinbarungen wichtig ist.
🔹 Warum Dusk wichtig ist
Dusk ist Nillions erste Veröffentlichung und die grundlegende Phase für Covenants. Nachdem Dusk im Sepolia-Testnetz lief, ist es jetzt im Ethereum-Mainnet live. Entwickler können Covenants erstellen, erlaubnisfreie Nodes betreiben und mit dem SDK entwickeln. Auch die Node-Belohnungen werden auf Ethereum L1 verlagert. Dadurch ist NIL direkt mit der Arbeit zur Auflösung von Covenants verknüpft.
🔹 Worauf ich mich auf der Roadmap mit sieben Ären am meisten freue
Dusk ist erst die erste Ära. Danach folgen Darkfall (Multi-Chain), Skyglow (Cross-Chain), Nightside (benutzerdefinierte Bedingungen), Neon (eine dedizierte VM), Aurora (Quantenresistenz) und Moonshine (Alltagstauglichkeit im großen Maßstab).
Mein Favorit ist Nightside. Derzeit sind Auslöser vor allem Preis und Zeit. Wenn Entwickler ihre eigenen Bedingungen festlegen können, könnte das verdeckte Gebotsauktionen, private OTC-Geschäfte, bedingte Zahlungen und vieles mehr ermöglichen.
🔹 Was ich beobachten werde
Die tatsächliche Nutzung nach dem Start: Wie viele Apps auf Covenants aufbauen und wie zuverlässig das Knotennetzwerk bleibt, wenn die Nutzung zunimmt.

Die Zone wurde inzwischen zweimal getestet, und beide Male stiegen die Käufer ohne zu zögern ein. Der Rücksetzer verlief kontrolliert, das Momentum ließ nie wirklich nach. Die Struktur deutet eher auf eine Fortsetzung als auf eine Umkehr hin, und das Risiko ist eng genug begrenzt, dass sich das Aufwärtspotenzial von hier aus lohnt.
