The US Treasury announced it will buy back up to $6 billion in long-dated government paper this week. Yields rose anyway.
The 10-year Treasury yield climbed 4.6 basis points to 4.845%, its highest since October 2023. The two-year rose to 4.427%, its highest since July 2024.
$Bitcoin gave back early gains to trade around $78,500, US stocks slipped to session lows with the Nasdaq down 0.8%, and Brent crude extended above $101.
The Program Has Net Raised the Yield It Was Designed to Lower
The $6 billion figure sat toward the high end of a $5 billion to $6 billion whisper range, but fell short of expectations that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent might shock markets with a substantially larger number.

BTC wird derzeit bei 78.930,69 $ gehandelt, ein Plus von +0,48 % im Tagesverlauf.
Betrachtet man den Intraday-Chart, hat der Kurs eine klare V-förmige Erholung ausgeprägt — er fiel in Richtung der 77.900-$-Zone, bevor Käufer eingestiegen sind und ihn wieder über 79.000 $ gedrückt haben. Der Rückprall hat eine ansteigende Trendlinie vom jüngsten Tief gebildet, was darauf hindeutet, dass sich kurzfristiger bullischer Schwung aufbaut.
Wichtige Levels, die man im Blick behalten sollte:
🔹 Support: ca. 78.500 – 78.750
🔹 Widerstand: ca. 79.250 – 79.500
Wenn $BTC oberhalb der Trendlinie hält, könnte als Nächstes ein Re-Test von 79.500 $ anstehen. Ein Bruch unter 78.500 $ würde die kurzfristig bullische Struktur ungültig machen.
