is preparing to shut down customer accounts on December 31, 2026, following its failure to secure the EU’s MiCA authorization. The announcement, reportedly communicated to customers via email, marks another major development in the company’s European operations.

According to Cryptoast, Binance France has begun winding down its services after failing to obtain the regulatory approval required under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

Deposits Already Suspended

The platform has reportedly suspended deposits, while services for existing customers have been progressively restricted.

Customers who still hold crypto assets on Binance France are being urged to withdraw their funds before the announced deadline.

Monthly Fees Starting November 29

Binance France has reportedly announced a monthly fee for accounts retaining assets on the platform:

- Monthly fee: 0.025% of the account balance

- Minimum charge: 10 USDC

- First fee: Expected after November 29, 2026

Customers who fail to withdraw their assets may face additional charges before the account closure deadline.

Accounts to Close on December 31

According to the reported customer notification, all Binance France accounts will be closed on December 31, 2026.

Customers who have not withdrawn their crypto assets by that date may have their accounts considered inactive. Under Binance’s Terms of Service, remaining assets could potentially be converted, transferred, or otherwise processed.

Important: This Does Not Affect All Binance Users

The announcement specifically concerns Binance France entity accounts.

It does not mean Binance is shutting down globally, nor does it automatically mean every Binance user residing in France will be affected.

Customers should verify their account status through official Binance communications and arrange withdrawals or transfers before the applicable deadlines.
