The Day Support Broke and Congress Was Elected: Bitcoin Below $76,588
$BTC $ETH Wednesday is done, and with it the week's most important lesson: yesterday's support did not survive a single night.
First: the facts — what happened today?
• Bitcoin: from a $77,332 close on the night of 3 November to an overnight low of $75,625, the lowest since 15 September, then trading around $76,494 in the morning — still below $76,588
• Ethereum: broke $2,272, hit a low of $2,223, and traded around $2,253
• Solana: stuck in a $89.77 to $93.83 range, trading around $91
• Flows: $398.6M left Bitcoin ETFs on 2 November, and $139.8M left Ethereum ETFs for a sixth straight day — per SoSoValue
• Politics: Democrats are projected to take the House, prediction markets put their Senate chances near 99% — and Nasdaq futures fell about 2%
Second: right yesterday / wrong yesterday
• Right: $77,494 stayed a ceiling the price never approached
• Wrong: $76,588 did not hold — it broke overnight and flipped from support to resistance
• The lesson: on a night of political news, a technical level alone is not enough — context decides
Third: Binance
• The SAFU fund now holds only about 7,500 BTC, half its February level, with no announced date for restoring it to $1B
• On the other side: deposits exceeded withdrawals every hour by the dawn of 3 November, according to Binance itself
Fourth: what about tomorrow?
• Tomorrow: the Bank of England decides rates, and Friday brings the jobs report, expected at 65,000 jobs
• Tomorrow's decisive level: reclaiming $76,588 means the break was a trap; breaking $75,625 means a deeper drop — between them, the market waits until Friday
Bottom line: one day redrew the whole levels map — and the smart move is to admit a break quickly, not to defend a dead level.
Tonight's question: tomorrow, does it get back above $76,588 or break $75,625? Reply above or below.
