🔒 Bybit's 41st Proof of Reserves: Why Transparency Matters in Crypto

Trust in the digital asset industry should not depend entirely on promises. It should be supported by verifiable information.

Bybit has published its 41st Proof of Reserves report, covering 50 assets with $17.3 billion in mainstream asset value.

According to the report, independently verified by @hackenclub, reserves exceeded user liabilities across all 50 covered assets as of October 27, 2026.

This is an important transparency milestone, particularly in an industry where exchange custody, asset backing and user confidence remain critical discussion points.

However, Proof of Reserves should be understood within its scope. A reserve snapshot provides useful evidence about covered assets and liabilities at a specific point in time; it is not, by itself, a complete guarantee of an exchange's financial health or future ability to meet every obligation.

For anyone holding $BTC or other digital assets on centralized exchanges, understanding how reserves are verified is part of making informed decisions.

Transparency creates visibility.
Verification strengthens accountability.
Risk awareness remains essential.
