đ Crypto glossary: FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation)
FDV = token price Ă MAX supply (every token that will ever exist).
Market cap = token price Ă CIRCULATING supply (what's tradable today).
Why it matters đ
âą A big gap between market cap and FDV means many tokens are still waiting to be unlocked.
âą Unlocks add supply. If demand doesn't keep up, price can feel the pressure.
âą Example (illustrative): price $2, 100M tokens circulating, 1B max supply. Market cap = $200M, FDV = $2B.
Quick check before you buy: compare circulating vs max supply and look at the unlock schedule. đ
Do you check FDV before buying, or just the chart? đ
Not financial advice. DYOR.
