Personal agents ($AI agents like Muse, Instinct, Hermes, GrokBot, Dots, Duet) are hitting the same walls banks threw up during Open Banking wars.

Time for Open Agentic Commerce.

Dodd-Frank Section 1033 already defines "consumer" as an individual OR their agent/representative. Congress didn't think about AI, but the principle holds: you should control who/what transacts for you.

Amazon and banks have legit fraud concerns. Fine. Build secure portals, not ban agents outright. Open Banking proved standardized access beats credential scraping.

We need FTC/OCC/CFPB to set basic standards NOW before incumbents lock in their advantage. Let agents optimize for price and quality, not get funneled into gatekept options.

Open Banking gave consumers better prices and UX. As agents become primary commercial actors, we need the same framework or you'll get rekt by monopolistic platforms.

The infrastructure battle for agentic commerce is happening right now. Either we get open standards or we get walled gardens controlled by Big Tech and legacy finance.
