Bitcoin and Ether both rose on Tuesday, but their spot trading activity moved in opposite directions.
On Binance's USDT spot pairs, BTC gained 0.95% from the October 27 UTC open to the close; ETH gained 1.11%. Bitcoin's quote turnover fell from $1.231bn on Monday to $1.062bn on Tuesday, while Ether's rose from $445.8m to $481.9m. Those dollar figures are USDT-denominated trade values, not fund inflows.
That gives the rebound two different backdrops: a higher BTC close on less turnover, and a higher ETH close on more. It is not enough to call a rotation from Bitcoin into Ether. Turnover counts executed trading, with a buyer and seller on each trade, and this comparison covers one venue and two pairs.
The useful follow-up is whether ETH's increase in activity persists across subsequent completed sessions. A single day's price gain and turnover change do not establish a lasting lead.
