BNB Chain plans to test reserved room for payments on October 28. Stablecoin access would need a separate decision: the Jenner testnet upgrade won't automatically admit USDT or USDC.

The proposed Payment Lane sets aside 5% of each block's processing budget by default, keeping other activity from consuming all the capacity available to eligible payments. Those payments can also compete for the rest of the block. Normal fees still apply, and the reserve doesn't guarantee inclusion for an individual transfer.

BEP-703 names USDT and USDC as the intended first entries on the payment-contract list. The list starts empty, and each addition requires governance approval. That leaves a concrete part of the stablecoin rollout unsettled: which contracts will actually be admitted.
