🚨 HSBC JUST ENTERED THE STABLECOIN RACE
Crypto payments just got an interesting new competitor.
On October 23, HSBC launched $RED $Coin (RCHKD), a Hong Kong dollar-denominated stablecoin integrated with PayMe.
Here's why it matters:
✅ More than 3.3 million PayMe users could access it
✅ Payments to friends and over 100,000 merchants
✅ Licensed and regulated by Hong Kong's Monetary Authority
✅ Plans to expand into tokenized investments
My take: The biggest story isn't another crypto ticker. It's a traditional bank bringing stablecoins into an app people already use.
But a launch doesn't guarantee adoption. Actual usage, transparency and user trust will determine whether it succeeds.
Could bank-backed stablecoins become part of everyday payments, or will existing payment methods remain dominant?
