Coinbase will shut its derivatives platform for nine hours this Saturday.

The exchange announced scheduled maintenance on October 24, during which trading futures and perpetual futures on Coinbase Financial Markets will be unavailable.

Account access will remain unchanged, and users are advised to follow updates on Coinbase’s official X account and the derivatives status page.

Coinbase also confirmed it will delist the Ampleforth Governance Token (FORTH) on November 23; FORTH funds will stay accessible and withdrawals will continue.

The token dropped about 15% after the notice.

Recent regulatory actions have limited Coinbase’s reach: Taiwan blocked access ahead of the November 28 election, and a Kazakh court ordered restrictions on Coinbase and five other platforms.

How do you think these temporary service interruptions will affect active traders on the platform?
