When you open Binance's Spot page for the first time, a lot of things catch your eye at once. Lists of red and green numbers, Market, Slippage, Avbl. Let's understand them one by one using examples from at $btc trade.

1. Pair: BTC/USDC

Here, BTC is being bought with USDC. USDC is a stablecoin, whose price is meant to stay close to the dollar. On the screen, the price of BTC is 83,344.82 USDC, with the dollar value shown in small text next to it.

2. Order Book: Red and Green

🔴 Red numbers: Sellers want to sell at this price.

🟢 Green numbers: Buyers want to buy at this price.

The large number in the middle is the latest traded price.

The bottom bar shows the ratio of buyer (36.44%) and seller (63.56%) orders. This is just a snapshot of a single moment, not an indication of the future.

3. Market vs Limit Order

Market is selected on the screen. A Market order means buying instantly at the current market price. In a Limit order, you set your own price; the order is filled when the market reaches that price.

4. Slippage Tolerance

If the price moves at the exact moment you place a Market order, you might not get the order at the price you expected. This difference is called slippage. This happens more in coins with low liquidity.

5. Other Fields

Total: How much USDC you will spend.

Avbl: How much you have in your Spot wallet. It is 0 in the screenshot, so you need to transfer funds first.

Est. Fee: Estimated fee. You should check this before placing an order.

6. 4 Warnings for Beginners

Start with a small amount.

Double-check the pair and the Buy/Sell button before confirming the order.Keep the Margin switch turned off, as trading with borrowed money increases risk significantly.

Read the notices at the top of the screen carefully. For example, there is a delisting notice in the screenshot; if you hold such coins, you may need to take quick action.

✅ Final Words

Understanding the screen before trading means reducing half the risk. Trade with understanding, not by following the crowd.
