Hoping $AAVE makes meaningful changes this time.
Right now, tokens bought back with protocol revenue aren't burned. They go into the DAO's ecosystem reserve.
Buybacks do reduce selling pressure, but the tokens still exist, and the DAO can use them later whenever it needs funds.
Stani mentioned a possible burn mechanism at the end of September, but there's no formal proposal yet. We still don't know how much would be burned or when it would start.
I hold $AAVE, and I hope this gets implemented soon.
