$BTC latest move has a detail that I think deserves more attention than the price itself.
BTC recently traded above $86K before pulling back toward $83.6K. At first glance, that looks like another cooling-off period. But the bigger picture is a little more complicated: Bitcoin is heading toward its strongest quarterly performance since late 2024, with a gain of more than 40% from July through September, according to a September 29 market report.
ETF demand has also been an important part of this quarter’s story. U.S. spotted bitcoins ETFs attracted roughly $2.39 billion during the week ending September 25. However, the latest session showed a much smaller inflow of around $31 million on September 28.
That change is worth watching. A strong week of institutional demand is encouraging data, but it doesn’t mean buying pressure will stay equally strong every day. Rising bond yields, profit-taking and changes in spot demand can all affect $BTC next move.
Personally, I’m more interested in what happens next than in celebrating the quarterly gain. Can BTC stabilise while ETF demand remains positive, or will the recent slowdown put more pressure on price?
What are you watching more closely right now: $BTC price action or the ETF flow data?
