Why is nobody talking about the growing gap between $ETH and $BTC sitting on exchanges?

Traders keep getting wrecked on entries because they follow price action and ignore how much actual supply is available to sell. You chase $BTC at the wrong moment then watch $ETH run without you because the float was already drying up.

$BTC currently holds 16.5% of its supply on exchanges and that number has barely budged. $ETH has slipped below 12.7%. The gap now sits at nearly 4 percentage points, and ETH keeps leaving exchanges while BTC stays put. Ethereum's liquid supply is getting tighter every month.

Most of the market still prices both assets as if sell-side pressure is identical. It is not. When coins leave exchanges and do not return, even average demand can produce outsized moves. Waiting for the daily chart to confirm it usually means you are already late.

The way I use this is straightforward. I review exchange supply once a week instead of living on the 4-hour chart. If ETH outflows keep going, I treat dips as accumulation rather than a reason to cut. I size positions around a shrinking float instead of assuming infinite sellers are waiting. That single habit has changed both my entries and my exits.

Where do you think this supply gap takes us from here?
