đš FOMC SEPTEMBER: ONE 25BP HIKE OR THE START OF A LONGER CYCLE?

The September FOMC decision is almost here, and Iâm watching the potential 25bp rate hike closely.
August core CPI rose 0.3% month-over-month, while the odds of a 25bp hike this week have moved close to 90%.
But the bigger question for me is: If the Fed hikes, is this just a one-off move, or could it be the beginning of a longer hiking cycle?
If the hike happens, higher rates could put pressure on liquidity and risk assets. That could create a bearish reaction for BTC and tech stocks, especially if the Fed signals that more hikes could follow.
For gold, the reaction may depend on the dollar and Treasury yields. A stronger dollar and higher real yields could create pressure, while continued inflation concerns could support demand.
For my next move, Iâm not planning to chase the first FOMC candle. I want to watch the Fedâs message, Treasury yields and BTC price action before making a decision.
