Connecting a wallet usually exposes the public address. The more consequential step comes afterward, when the dApp requests an approval or transaction signature.

Before proceeding, verify the complete domain, inspect the requested permission, confirm the recipient and value, and decode any transaction you do not understand.

After using the dApp, review whether token allowances or NFT operator permissions remain active. An outstanding approval is evidence of continuing authorization, not automatic proof that the approved contract is malicious.
