Blackstone names new leaders for its ~$608 billion real estate business

🏢 Nadeem Meghji will step down as Global Head of Real Estate at the end of 2026 for family reasons, less than a year after becoming the sole head of the division. WSJ reported the move first, with Bloomberg confirming it after the U.S. market close on September 8.

👥 David Levine and Giovanni Cutaia will jointly take over the real estate business. Both are long-time Blackstone executives, pointing to an internal succession rather than a shift in operating strategy.

📊 Blackstone currently manages about $608 billion in real estate assets and continues to describe the investment environment as attractive. Data centers, logistics and rental housing remain key areas of focus.

🔎 Meghji played an important role in expanding Blackstone’s data center and logistics exposure, while Levine’s existing involvement in these areas may help limit strategic disruption during the transition.
