The first generation of tokenization was mostly about proving that traditional assets could exist on-chain. The next stage is more practical: if I can already buy a stock through a broker in seconds, what exactly does putting that stock on a blockchain improve? 24/7 transferability is one answer. Using tokenized securities inside on-chain portfolios or as collateral could be another. Global distribution without rebuilding the same market infrastructure in every country is potentially much bigger. But that's the test now.
