I almost opened a small $DUSK position last night, then stopped myself.

Instead, I went back through the team’s August 19 AMA and listened more carefully. What stood out wasn’t another listing or price discussion. It was how much of Dusk’s design seems built around the awkward middle ground between privacy and compliance.

That matters because institutional users don’t necessarily need “maximum privacy.” They need to hide sensitive transaction details while still being able to prove what regulators or counterparties need to verify.

My hesitation is on the other side of the equation: technology alone doesn’t create liquidity.

I’m watching whether Dusk can turn its compliance-focused infrastructure into actual usage on its ecosystem and trading venues. If activity stays mostly developer-driven, the market may keep treating $DUSK as a technically interesting project rather than a genuinely used network.

I didn’t take the trade yet. I’d rather see adoption confirm the thesis first.
