Crypto Diversification Gets Weird Very Quickly 🤐 Suppose you remove Bitcoin from a diversified crypto index. You'd expect everything else to suddenly become fairly balanced, right? Not really. 😅 Latest index composition shows $SOL at roughly 13.2% of the 20 ex-Bitcoin, while $ETH , $BNB and $XRP together represent more than 70%. Assets further down the list quickly fall into low-single-digit territory. That's something I think gets lost whenever people talk about "diversifying into alts." Buying five smaller cryptocurrencies doesn't necessarily give you five independent bets. They can still respond to the same liquidity cycle, the same risk appetite and the same movements in $BTC .
