đĽ BITCOIN IS MOVING â BUT THE REAL STORY MAY BE BEHIND THE PRICE
Bitcoin recently pushed above $79,000, but instead of asking only âHow high can BTC go?â, let's look at one of the most important pieces of data behind the move:
đ SPOT BITCOIN ETF FLOWS
U.S. spotted Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $1.9 BILLION in net inflows last week, their strongest weekly inflow of 2026 so far.
Even more interesting: Bitcoin + Ether spot ETFs combined for roughly $2.6 BILLION of inflows during the week.
đ§ WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
ETF flows can give us a window into how much capital is moving into regulated investment products that provide exposure to crypto.
But there's an important lesson:
Strong ETF inflows do NOT guarantee that Bitcoin will keep rising.
Markets can still be experienced:
â ď¸ Profit-taking
â ď¸ Liquidations
â ď¸ Changing macro conditions
â ď¸ Reversals in ETF flows
That's why I prefer looking at data + context, rather than simply posting:
đ âBTC TO $100K!â
đ WHAT I'M WATCHING NEXT
1ď¸âŁ ETF inflows/outflows
2ď¸âŁ Spot trading volume
3ď¸âŁ Leverage & liquidations
4ď¸âŁ Macro liquidity
5ď¸âŁ Whether institutional demand remains consistent
đĄ KEY TAKEAWAY
Price tells you what happened.
Flows can help explain why it happened.
The next few sessions will be interesting to watch: is this a short-term burst of demand, or the beginning of more sustained institutional participation?
đ What's more important to you when analyzing Bitcoin:
đ ETF flows
đ° Volume
đ Macro conditions
