Dusk has been building regulated settlement infrastructure for years. the NPEX shareholding was 2020. the licences, the custody partner, the payment leg, the privacy engine, the compliance layer, all of it assembled before there was meaningful volume to justify any of it
theres a name for that position and its not a flattering one. building ahead of demand

the case FOR it is that market infrastructure cant be built reactively. you cannot tell a supervised venue to wait six months while you add selective disclosure. the compliance and settlement guarantees have to exist before the first regulated asset arrives, not after
the case against is simpler and harder to answer. years of building, and the honest measure of whether regulated finance wants confidential onchain settlement is still mostly ahead of us rather than behind
I dont think being early is the same as being wrong. I also dont think its evidence of anything yet
thats an unsatisfying place to land and its where I actually am....
