Oil’s Supply Chain Is Finding a New Route 🛢️

Saudi Aramco is offering some Asian refiners crude deliveries that bypass the Strait of Hormuz, according to people familiar with the discussions. The company is negotiating September cargoes using ship-to-ship transfers off Fujairah, while also rerouting some barrels through the Red Sea.

The move shows how seriously regional supply disruptions are affecting the physical oil market. Asian refiners, especially in India, are looking for alternatives as shipping through the Strait remains complicated by the conflict around Iran.

Saudi Arabia isn't alone. Abu Dhabi has also been moving more crude through routes that avoid Hormuz, helping maintain exports despite the disruption.$CL
For oil traders, the interesting part is that producers are adapting rather than simply waiting for the situation to normalize. If these alternative routes expand, they could soften some of the supply shock — but they also highlight just how fragile global energy logistics have become. 👀$BZ
