The more I look into Dusk, the more I keep coming back to one simple detail: privacy doesn’t always have to mean hiding everything.

What caught my attention is the way confidential contracts can work with sensitive information without putting all the underlying details on the public chain.

At first, I was thinking of privacy as just “hide the transaction.”

Then I realized there’s a more practical way to look at it: prove what actually needs to be proven, without handing over information that nobody else needs to see.

That makes a lot more sense for financial applications to me.

There’s still a trade-off, though. The more privacy you add, the more complicated the system can become for developers and users.

But that’s probably what I find most interesting about Dusk. It isn’t just about hiding data. It’s about having more control over what gets revealed.

And honestly, that feels like a much harder problem to solve.
