Binance P2P Safety Checklist: 6 Steps You Should Never Skip
P2P makes it convenient to buy and sell crypto directly with other users, but safe trading starts with your own actions.
Check the trader’s name, price, trading limits, and payment method before placing an order.Keep the entire transaction and communication within Binance. Never move to Telegram, WhatsApp, or other platforms to “process it faster.”When buying, only mark the payment as completed after you have actually sent the money to the seller’s correct payment details. When selling, never release crypto based only on a screenshot or a message saying “payment sent.” Always verify that the money has actually arrived in your own bank account or wallet.Never share your password, OTP, 2FA code, or other security information with anyone, even if they claim to be Binance support. If a dispute occurs, keep all transaction evidence and use Binance’s dispute/support process instead of trying to resolve the issue outside the platform.
One simple rule: If you have not personally verified that the payment has arrived, the transaction is not finished.
