The more I think about blockchain, the more I believe we've been measuring the wrong thing.

Everyone debates how much information a network can expose. I think the more important question is how little information it can reveal while still being trusted.

That's why DUSK keeps challenging my assumptions. Its approach to confidential smart contracts isn't about making finance invisible—it's about limiting unnecessary exposure while preserving the level of verification regulated financial applications require. Those are two very different goals.

What makes this interesting to me is that trust doesn't always grow by adding more transparency. Sometimes it grows by defining who needs access, what they need to verify, and when that verification should happen. If tokenized finance continues to mature, I think that distinction will become increasingly important.

I'm still waiting to see how this vision translates into broader adoption, but DUSK is asking questions that many blockchain projects haven't reached yet—and that's exactly why I keep following it.
