i kept asking myself one kinda dumb question while looking at @Dusk_Foundation … if they want ethereum builders so badly then why not just make everything EVM and call it a day??
then it clicked.
i think DuskEVM is more like a door into the network, not the network itself. solidity devs can come in with tools they already know and build without learning everything again from zero, but underneath that Dusk still keeps its own settlement + data layer.
and i actually like that more than going full EVM.
becuse DuskVM can still handle the native Rust/WASM side where Dusk specific stuff matters, while DuskEVM gives ethereum apps somewhere familiar to run. two diff ways to build… same base underneath.

Dusk isnt really choosing between ethereum compatibility OR its own architecture.
its trying to keep control of the core while making the outside easier to enter.
and for something like Dusk Trade i think thats pretty important… users shouldnt even need to care which VM is doing what behind the screen, they just want the product to work.
maybe thats the bigger bet here.
