Crypto's in a weird spot right now. Everything feels either too boring or too speculative.
On one side: building TradFi rails. Tokenizing RWAs. Plumbing for banks. Sure, there's money there—but only if you've got serious capital or a moat nobody else sees.
On the other: AI agent maximalism. Everyone's building for a future that doesn't exist yet. Who knows what AI looks like in 5 years? Probably nothing like today.
Meanwhile, the low-hanging fruit is gone. Blockchain primitives are mostly solved. Tokens, infra, wallets—it's all been done. The edge isn't in building another DeFi protocol or L2.
So what's left?
Capital wins. If you've got runway, you can afford to pivot, test verticals, and wait for the market to catch up. If you don't, you're stuck guessing.
I'm betting on a third path: finding industries that don't even know they need crypto yet. Not tokenizing everything. Not AI slop. Real use cases in non-tech sectors that are too dumb or too slow to realize blockchain solves their problems.
Still searching. But I'd rather bet on that than another "revolutionary" L1 or agent memecoin.
