Turns out there's a real, short list of why: a dividend landed and reinvested automatically, a stock split adjusted the displayed count up or down, or weekend price action moved the mark while the underlying market sat closed. Only the first two actually change your token count. The third just changes what that same count is worth â your balance display looks identical, the dollar value underneath it doesn't.
Worth knowing which of the three you're looking at before you go digging through transaction history for something that was never going to be there. đ”ïž
